The Today Show on NBC has got to be one of the most awkward TV programs that I've ever seen. I mean, news shows are awkward enough but everyone on the Today show tries to be all funny and casual but it's always so forced.
Usually Al Roker will be all, "Hi there, kid. What's your name?" and the kid will respond by drooling all over his microphone and going, "huuuuuuuuuhhh." Then Al will say something like, "Speaking of precipitation, here's what's happening in your neck of the woods." Then he'll just stare at the camera for like five long minutes, smiling like a madman because the director wasn't paying attention and didn't get the affiliates feed queued up on time. God, I love the Today Show!
How can there be a different update schedule when it's called The Daily Doodle, you ask? I'll tell you how! The weekends don't count as days, that's how! Also, It's my comic, I can do what I want.
But seriously, The Daily Doodle is now going to be weekdays only. This past year of my life has seen some changes and I'm trying to get a good routine down that will allow me to effectively balance my Freelance Illustration and producing The Daily Doodle while also working a day job and spending time with my Girlfriend. The plan is that I can spend some time on the weekend drawing 5 days worth of doodles and have them all queued up for the week, allowing me to utilize the rest of the week for any Freelance commissions or other personal projects that I'm working on. Also, taking the weekends off from updates gives me a little breather so that I can, hopefully, come up with some better jokes.
I think it's all gonna work out just fine.Posted 21:25
