Not a good place for eyes. At least not during certain times of the day.
A change is ahead for me. As some of you may know, I do freelance illustration and design, among about a billion other things and a full time job as a grocery store dairy man. The goal was always to eventually make a living doing art. So, in order to make that possible I've focused a lot of my time into perusing multiple paths that would hopefully, one day lead to that goal. Recently, its become apparent to me that dividing my time on each one of these paths isn't really working. I feel like it has caused me to come to a screeching halt. So, I've decided to focus my time and energy solely on my freelance work and on getting more freelance work. I'm going to really make a go of it. And hopefully finally relieve myself of this damned day job.
If I'm going to do this and still have a life I've got to cut some of the fat. That means ceasing work on all the comics I'm working on, t-shirt and product designs, and most all of my personal projects that aren't currently bringing in income. I don't want to give up The Daily Doodle and I'm not going to but there's a chance, like lately, that I won't be able to get it updated every day. I will keep up with it if there is enough time to do so.
If my efforts succeed and I become a full time freelancer than there's a chance I can start working on my other projects again and even keep The Daily Doodle updated regularly. If my efforts fail then I will just forge a new path. Either way I will succeed at being an artist and not a damn thing will stop me!
So, while we're on the subject, if you happen to be looking for an artist for your project, contact me for a price quote. Please provide detailed information on the project and the rights you will need. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. You can see samples of my work over at JeffMorinArt.com..
To the future!
